TRAVEL DIARY: TATE AND TATE MODERN
MONDAY.....

Monday is the day for the Tate Britain and the Tate Modern.

This is the Tate Britain.....we found a cool little store on the corner selling Highland item.  Unfortunately, we did not find Jamie Fraser!

Tate Britain had a show of Turner/Whistler/Monet. We paid a little more than $20 to see it, but it was so crowded it was frustrating. However, there were many other things to see, so all was good.

After the Tate Britain (they didn't allow pictures), we waited for the Tate to Tate boat to take us up the Thames. Mary danced for passerby's as we waited.  You can just barely see the London Eye in the sky to her right.>

The London Eye is more visible above, as is Parliment.

After a lovely journey down the Thames, disembarked in front of the Globe Theatre----didn't have time to go in, though! >

Onward to Tate Modern.  I would have taken a picture of it, but I got transfixed by these birch trees in the front and forgot.  Actually, I was bored by most of the work in the Tate Modern....it all seems so devoid of hope and consideration.
